The famous Italian label Alfa Romea was established in 1909. It developed from the Italian branch of the French label Darraq, which the director at that time, Ugo Stella, took over with the aid of friends and banks.
The trademark with the well-known red cross on a white background and the crowned snake stems from the flag of the Milan crusaders.
The Societa Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili, in short Alfa, first built Darraq developments, changed however quickly to stronger models with which the numerous steep streets of Italy could better be mastered.
Alfa Romeo quickly gained the favor of the Italian elite.
The most progressive technology and spectacular racing successes gave the label a charisma at the time that only Ferrari possesses.
By the way, Enzo Ferrari begann his legendary career as racing director at Alfa Romeo.
For the achieved Alfa Romea victories the Italian family Baracca gave him the right to use the "Cavallo rampante".
Today every child knows this jumping horse on a yellow background as Ferraris trademark.
In 1929 Alfa Romeo introduced one of its most successful models.
The Alfa Romeo 6C 1750, which was available in four motor versions and with five different body works. Besides this there were various wheel bases corresponding to the body and reason for employment.
Whoever wanted things especially exclusive, did not choose his body off the peg, but had something very special tailored for his automobile by reknowned body builders.
The vehicle offered by us is equipped with the so-called Turismo-Motor.
The motor already has overhead camshafts and removeable cylinder heads.
The first-class restoration makes this Alfa interesting not only for collectors and capital investors.
This vehicle is an ideal classic for people who also would like to drive their oldtimer.
One of the most reknowned Italian body builders at that time was Castagna in Milan.
The Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 offered by us here is equipped with such a Castagna body.
